With more than 20 years of experience in education, leadership, wellness, and Jewish learning, Michael brings warmth, creativity, and vision to Livnot U'Lehibanot. As Director of Education, he is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that help people connect more deeply to Judaism, Israel, themselves, and one another.
Before joining Livnot, Michael led a youth boarding school, founded and directed a Jewish meditation school for over 15 years, and operated a private holistic health practice. His background also includes serving as a commander in the IDF Education Corps and as a reserve combat soldier. He studied Jewish Thought at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Halacha at Yeshivat Hamivtar.
When he’s not developing educational programs, Michael enjoys exploring herbal medicine and mindfulness, spending time with his wife and five sons, and finding meaningful ways to connect people from different backgrounds.
“My favorite part about Livnot is that it’s a living, breathing space for Jewish discovery. People come from all different backgrounds, build together with their hands, explore spirituality, hike through the land of Israel, and ask big questions together. Then something special happens — a real sense of community forms. There’s nothing like seeing the moment someone connects an ancient piece of Jewish wisdom to their own life and realizes, ‘This is part of my story too.”
