Alumni Spotlight- Stef Foster

Stef Foster was born and raised in a family dedicated to creativity and inspiring others to achieve their maximum potential, a family in which macaroni necklaces, Popsicle cabins, and spaghetti fights were common occurances. These commitments to excellence and community service form the foundation of Stef’s core values and her new role as the Director of Alumni Relations for Livnot. Stef holds a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University. Following her undergraduate studies and a passion for fantasy- which stemmed from a childhood of dreaming about becoming a Disney Imagineer under palm trees, she began to pursue her interest in inspiring others to live a life of radical amazement in Las Vegas- where she worked in a management position in one of the top-rated Luxury hotels in the World. Quickly realizing her love for traveling and helping under-developed communities, the lights of the Vegas Strip dimmed and Stef sold her possessions and bought a one way ticket to Belize to search for meaningful volunteer work and discover how living a fulfilling life was defined. Stef became addicted to the unique experiences and lessons that can only come with travel, and for the next four years, Stef traveled around the Globe working for non-profit organizations in numerous capacities in Belize, China, and Peru. Only to have the wind blow her in the direction of the mystical city of Tzfat on a Livnot program in August 2010. When she was offered the position of revitalizing the Alumni energy and enthusiasm, she thought it would be the perfect opportunity to continue her love of adventure, inspiring others, and development work. Through her nomadic nature, she has found a home at Livnot and is looking forward to fostering that connection with the all the Alumni. In her spare time, she enjoys spontaneous adventures, finding creativity in everything, listening to life stories, and inspiration through seeing something new out of the ordinary.

Update – Stef made Aliyah and is living in Jerusalem.  Although she is no longer alumni director, we are proud to have her as a member of the Livnot family and wish her an easy absorption into her new home in Israel.
