My Livnot Experience: Aviva Curran

Coming off of Birthright, I had no idea what to expect from Israel. I had no friends or family living here and I canceled my flight back to America. All I knew is that I wanted to stay in Israel but I had no idea what I was doing or what I wanted to do. I had no idea what to expect from Livnot when I signed up for the program but after being a past chevre, and now intern, I can say 110% Livnot has changed my life and was a huge influence in my decision to make aliyah. Everyday is a new experience, every hike and conversation shows you a new perspective on life, and you create new friendships and a new community along the way. Livnot not only inspired me to re-identify my Judaism, but also gave me the tools to follow my spiritual path independently. I truly would not be in the place I’m in now with out Livnot’s encouragement and the community I have built here in Israel! -Aviva Curran Hike in Israel
