Livnot U'Lehibanot

To Build & To Be Built

To Build & Be Built

Since 1980, Livnot has been the pioneer of service-learning, now leading the hands-on effort to rebuild and restore Northern Israel

The Livnot Experience

Build the Land. Build Yourself.

Livnot U’Lehibanot offers a transformative Israel experience that connects participants to their heritage through action. We provide an open, inclusive environment for exploring Jewish identity by hiking the country's historic trails, engaging in community service, and participating in soulful workshops. This is a deeper exploration of Israel designed for those seeking a meaningful connection to the land and a better understanding of themselves.

45 years of building israel

LIVNOT'S ORIGINS

Livnot U’Lehibanot was born in 1980 in the Tzfat home of Aharon and Miriam Botzer. Originally envisioned as a sanctuary for travelers seeking deeper meaning and spirituality, it provided a unique space to explore Jewish heritage through action and connection. As the community grew, so did our mission; what began in a family living room expanded into a world-class organization and a National Heritage Site, pioneering the "To Build and Be Built" philosophy that has shaped the Israel experience for over 45 years.
