Livnot U’Lehibanot offers weeklong volunteering programs in Israel for young adults seeking a meaningful, hands-on way to contribute while engaging with Jewish learning, communal living, hiking, and the arts.
Our volunteer programs focus on rebuilding communities in Israel’s North, including hands-on construction work on homes, kindergartens, and community spaces affected by war and displacement.
Each week combines:
Hands-on volunteering in Israel (construction support, renovation, painting, cleanup)
Jewish learning and reflection, including exposure to Kabbalistic thought, presented in an open, accessible way
Community and shared experience, with time for conversation, music, and group meals
Exploring the land by foot, through hikes and learning tied to place
Our programs are intentionally boutique, with groups of up to 25 participants, allowing for a more personal experience. Programs are based in the Old City of Tzfat on Livnot’s historic campus, where history, learning, and daily life intersect, and where spirituality is woven naturally into the surrounding environment.
Evenings and Shabbat are spent together in Tzfat, with a Shabbat experience rooted in tradition, deep conversations, shared meals, and song.
Livnot’s weeklong volunteer programs are designed for people who want more than tourism, but less than a long-term commitment. Many participants join us after Birthright or Masa programs, or while visiting Israel independently, looking for a way to volunteer in Israel that feels personal and impactful.
7-day programs offered throughout the month (see dates below).
